About this website
This website has been around in various guises since 1996. It was a conventional "pics and bio" type site until 2004 when it was reborn (v4.0) as a weblog. That version of the site was named among the top 50 "Great British Blogs" by .net magazine, in 2006.
There was another reboot in June 2008 giving birth to version 5.0, the website which you, dear reader, now hold in your hands. Please enjoy.
Acknowledgements
The site runs on Apache, Linux and the open source, ultra light blogging software, Blosxom. It continues to be kindly hosted by my good friend JBB, founder of the esteemed Hatters collective.
The headline typeface is Chunk, a lovely slab-serif display face, kindly made freely available for @font-face embedding by Meredith Mandel and available to download from The League of Movable Type. Body type is the elegant humanist sans face Cantarell, by Dave Crossland, who has released it under the Google web fonts API for web embedding.
